Original Condition

These are a few photographs of ‘Monique’ when I found her and as you can see she was amethyst in colour.


When the paint was being rubbed down and removed I found silver birch underneath, I contacted Aston Martin Heritage and asked for the colour / pantone number of the car when it left the factory, so that I could put her back to original, they confirmed the colour was …. Silver Birch 1964.


I found the original log book the colour description was crossed out by the DVLA from the silver birch to amethyst in May 1968 so I believe that is when she was re-sprayed by her original owner.
